What is a Pro-nigger?

Pro-nigger Protests? What are they? Why?

No! You don’t have me! I’m still not a racist, but as I paged through the reports of NFL players taking a knee and even sitting down for the National Anthem, I came across a reference to the protests and the protestors that directed me to the Urban Dictionary.

I read the hyphenated word and found myself agreeing, especially in light of what continues to transpire in professional football. I agree with the description because the continuation of the disrespect to our nation took a major time out once the 2017 professional football season ended, only to start again last Thursday. Where were the protests in the offseason when they were on their own time?

I found the derogatory slur listed and defined as: Pro-nigger (noun) A highly paid professional athlete (thug, rapist, domestic violence offender, cheater, and criminal) that attended college on a scholarship, but never graduated (or attended classes — ever) who feels empowered enough (and oppressed) that they disrespect our flag, nation, and traditions by kneeling, sitting, and ignoring our National Anthem before sporting events.

It’s a new season and here we go again!

The NFL initially made the move to end these protests in the offseason. Owners like Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys, refuse to allow it on their team. He understands that America’s so-called Team must honor our flag, national anthem, and nation before each game. Then came the player’s union and owners who are liberal and more red than any color, who wanted the ruling by the league set aside. I guess it is up to us as fans to once again make a real statement and show them a profound protest as we turn off the NFL.

Colon Kapernick, the player who brought this to the forefront was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S. on November 3, 1987. He is African-American, mostly Ghanaian on his biological father’s side and Bohemian Czech, and Irish from his white biological mother, Heidi (Zabransky) Russo. Colin’s biological maternal grandfather is James Paul Zabransky (the son of Joseph Frank Zabransky and Norma). Joseph’s parents, Frank Joseph Zabransky and Magdalene Kroupa, were Bohemian (Czech) immigrants. His biological maternal grandmother is Margaret Ann Curran. The surname Curran is of Irish origin. White parents, Teresa and Rick Kaepernick, adopted him as an infant and raised him as their own son.

He never lived in the inner-city or attended black schools. He attended largely white schools before going to the University of Nevada in Reno. While he was in college he earned a management degree from Nevada before turning pro in 2011. He had a 4.0 GPA in college where he was named the Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year twice and became the only player in NCAA Division 1 history to amass 10,000 passing yards and 4,000 rushing yards in a career. The rest you know as he embraced his father’s heritage to make his statement. That, plus his erratic play, made him a free agent no one wants to sign.

The NFL has a major public relations problem with the protests and the criminal behavior of its players with over 45 felony charges filed against active players in 2018 to date. The members of teams who insist on protesting our nation and traditions have done absolutely nothing to distinguish themselves other than playing football and being paid large sums of money. The NFL would have us believe these players have foundations and charities to give back to the community, but they are mostly little more than a tax dodge, or a way to avoid taxes to pay themselves a salary at a later date. The NFL lost major market share last year, and if nothing changes the slide will continue.

Some professional football players seem to believe they must make a social statement besides beating and raping women, continued drug use, as well as criminal theft, attempted murder, and assault. They were protected in college by coaches, campus police, and alumni, but now they are in the public eye well beyond Sunday afternoons. They imagine themselves as celebrities, but an injury or someone a step faster than them can bring it all to an end. While Kapernick has a degree to fall back on, most NFL players, those protesting in particular, do not. While they should be endearing fans to them, they are doing the opposite. I have to say I hope all the protestors break their legs and have their so-called careers cut short. It is this type of disrespect that makes me want a mandatory two-year military service enacted at graduation from high school or age 18 for everyone with no exceptions — especially these Pro-nigger football players.

Perhaps if those who are so willing to protest our national anthem and flag are conscripted and made to serve our nation, then they might appreciate what they were born into and what they have. They have been babied, coddled, and given special treatment because they are good at a game. Let them wear the uniform of our nation and distinguish themselves first, before going to college to play football. Let them learn the discipline and self-control they didn’t learn at home or in school. Professional football players are not special and we need to stop treating them as such. The NFL has been given special tax breaks and that needs to be looked at, too. I’m not sure how much football I’ll watch this year. The protests sicken me and I have had a belly full of millionaire nobodies making statements between crimes.
